The Setting

Lake Belle is a fictional Florida town, small enough to have little to offer and big enough so that you don’t quite know everybody–but you know somebody who knows everybody. All my stories are set in Lake Belle, and characters tend make appearances in different plots. You don’t, however, have to have read an early story to get the next one. They can stand alone–but who doesn’t like to be in the know?

Woods surround Lake Belle and canals connect the many lakes. It’s a town that loves a good ghost story and a good witch. You can stay the night at The Lily Pad Bed & Breakfast, dance at The Walking Whiskey, and get your fortune told at The Red Moon.

Our heroine and her best friends work at The Sunlight Grocery, which has an interesting past all its own–in another novel.
