The Map of Everything

Gwen Della Green is sitting on a park bench watching children on the playground when a dragon falls from the sky. Because she and a 12 year-old-boy, nicknamed Bim, are the only one who don’t run away, they find themselves taken away to another world where the dragon needs their help to find the Map of Everything.

Of course, they aren’t the only ones searching for the map. They must fight or hide from other jealous dragons, a psychopathic witch, and a mad king. If they want to return home, they must find the map, but the map may have other plans for them.

This sounds like fun. Would it be a shorter book? I’m guessing it’s aimed for a younger audience, maybe like some of Diana Wynne Jones books which have a Young Adult format but can be happily read by anyone.

fairyhedgehog, you’ve made my day. I love Diana Wynne Jones, and yes, a slightly younger audience and shorter book is what I had in mind. Glad that came across in here. Thanks for the comment.

I agree with fairyhedgehog. As I was reading this, it sounded like a fantasy for youngsters. And a very fun one at that! Sounds good.

Maybe this will be number two on the rewrite/edit list.
